L&P Media Launches new web site for Henry Hudson 400th Anniversary

Troy, NY (April 3, 2007)…L&P Media announced today, it has developed the new Hudson 400 web site http://www.hudson400.com . The Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACCVB) in concert with other community partners is developing a program that will celebrate the Quadricentennial (400th) Anniversary of our regions founding by the explorer Henry Hudson.

Albany and the Hudson River Valley region of New York State will celebrate a significant anniversary in 2009. That year will mark the 400th anniversary of our European founding by Dutch explorer Henry Hudson. It will be a wonderful opportunity to explore the Dutch heritage of the Hudson Valley and to celebrate with special events on the Hudson River, along the shores of the river and at historic sites throughout the region.

The new web site offers features to promote Albany’s landmark celebration of its founding and provides additional information and information links for potential travelers and citizens of the region,” said Michele Vennard, President of the ACCVB. Included in the new site is a flash time line of major events telling the story of the 400 years of the Albany region, specifically focusing on the explorations of Henry Hudson and his various voyages to the region.
